School Care Specialist
Belgrade, Montana · Part time
Wild Wonders is a farm-based hybrid school serving students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. We are hiring a School Care Specialist to care for children during and after school hours.
Your day is spent supervising and taking care of kids of all ages up through middle school.
Because our farm campus is the classroom, a good part of this job happens outside. Being comfortable in Montana weather year round matters more here than it would in most childcare roles.
Schedule
Our school week is Monday through Thursday, so Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are off every week. Your time off follows the school calendar, including school breaks and certain holidays.
This is a September through June position that follows the school year. For the right person there is potential to continue through the summer in a camp counselor role.
Hours shift by month depending on afterschool enrollment:
Months with afterschool care: 9:00 to 4:30, Monday through Thursday
Months without afterschool care: 9:00 to 1:00 Monday, and 9:00 to 3:00 Tuesday through Thursday
Part time (21-27hrs per wk)
Pay and benefits
$20+ per hour, depending on experience.
This role also includes a possible childcare remission benefit, which allows one child to attend work with you, depending on the child's age. We count this as part of the total compensation package and are happy to talk through how it would work for your family.
